Dr. Ulmer is a Clinical Instructor at the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, University of British Columbia, where she completed her dermatology residency.
Her full-time practice at Pacific Derm encompasses both medical and aesthetic dermatology and her experience in clinical dermatology spans more than a decade. She enjoys teaching physician colleagues at continuing medical educational events and is actively involved in clinical research. A selection of her work has been published in the medical literature and presented at dermatology conferences.
She has special interest in acne and rosacea, serving on the Acne and Rosacea Society of Canada medical committee and co-authoring the most up to date Canadian Clinical Practice Guidelines for Rosacea. The comprehensive range of Dr. Ulmer’s expertise includes medical, procedural and cosmetic dermatology. She is dedicated to working with patients to optimize their skin health through addressing individual skin-related concerns, developing customized treatment and skin care regimens, and offering a broad spectrum of advanced options.
