How does PicoSure™ work?
Microtoning and Pigment Removal
When used to lighten dark spots, improve uneven skin tone/texture or reduce fine lines, we use the microtoning technique: a mild rejuvenation treatment that uses a gentler handpiece than similar treatments.
Scar Lightening
For acne scars, the PicoSure™ laser safely delivers ultra-short pulses of energy to increase density and length of elastin fibers and remodels collagen to restore elasticity. Treatments usually take between 15 to 20 minutes. It’s normal for your skin to feel flushed after treatment, and may appear red for 1-2 days.
Tattoo Removal
Before PicoSure™, it was difficult to remove or fade multicoloured tattoos. Now, we can use pressure-wave technology to remove tattoos in fewer treatments than conventional lasers. PicoSure™ shatters ink particles into smaller fragments so your body can remove them more efficiently. It removes dark and stubborn colours (like blue and green inks), as well as stubborn, previously treated tattoos.
