THERMAGE

Thermage® is a non-surgical procedure used for skin tightening and contouring. It uses radio-frequency technology to stimulate and tighten existing collagen and activate new collagen growth, reducing the signs of aging skin.

This skin tightening treatment is useful for patients who have mild to moderate facial or body laxity. While the results are not as dramatic as a surgical facelift, Thermage is a safe anti-aging procedure involving no surgery, no injections and with little to no downtime.

Thermage can be used on the face, eyes and body. On the face it treats sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth or forehead; and lack of definition in the jaw line and under the chin. For the eye area it treats excess skin on the upper eyelid (also known as “hooding”) and crepey eyelids. On the body it treats the appearance of cellulite; and wrinkled, crepey or sagging skin on the tummy, knees, arms, legs or buttocks. This last treatment is popular after pregnancy or weight loss. 

In August 2010, the brand-new Thermage CPT or Comfort Pulse Technology™ arrived. This breakthrough technology provides a faster, more comfortable skin tightening treatment with better results than the previous model. The Thermage CPT system utilizes a vibrating hand piece that provides the most comfortable Thermage procedure yet - often eliminating the need for pain medication. A more uniform heat delivery to the treatment area via redesigned treatment tips creates consistent, beautiful results. Pacific Dermaesthetics is the first clinic to provide Thermage CPT in Vancouver and Western Canada. 

Only one session is needed and takes approximately two hours. Immediate results are subtle but continue to improve for up to twelve months following treatment due to new collagen growth.
