How the LightSheer Duet Works
The Duet has two treatment heads (or hand pieces): the traditional one, perfect for small areas like the ears and nose; and a larger high-speed one. This second treatment head is remarkable because it’s five times larger than the original, making it incredibly faster and more effective.
The LightSheer technology differs from other lasers by pulling the hair up into the device with a vacuum-like suction, allowing the laser to zero in more deeply to the pigment at the base of the hair follicle. The larger treatment head size allows for a greater depth of penetration and improved energy absorption at the target follicle.
How Much Faster is it?
Four times faster! For example, both underarms can be done in under 5 minutes, a back in under 30 minutes and two full legs in under 40 minutes.
What Can I Expect?
There is such minimal discomfort with the LightSheer Duet, most patients forgo the topical anesthetic. All you will feel is warmth and a slight pinch as the hand piece passes over the treatment area. There may be some mild redness to the skin for a short period after treatment.
